It will be well packed before shipping and sent for around £20 in the UK - overseas postage will be calculated dependent upon location. The instrument is supplied in a hard case, probably not the original. It has three matching pearls on the button tops. The condition of the valves is excellent for the age with little sign of wear the cockades are solid and without holes the metal Couesnon Paris Trumpet guides are in good order, as are the valve springs. The instrument has been cleaned externally. Top and bottom valve caps are free, the water-keys are operational and do not leak. The trumpet has been serviced prior to listing and so you will find all tuning slides and adjustable lead pipe moving freely, the valves move easily and are responsive. Also included are extenders to lengthen the 3 rd slide by a semitone. This is a Bb Piccolo trumpet supplied with an additional shank to convert it to an A trumpet. I've recently used it in a gig, and it plays beautifully. I'm selling because I now own two piccolos and sadly, this horn is surplus to requirements. It is a used item in good condition for an instrument of its age, which blows well, with a clear, bright sound. Good Couesnon specimens are getting increasingly difficult to find. These trumpets are now incredibly rare owning to the destruction of the factory in the 1980s (burnt to the ground). This Couesnon Monopole Conservatoires Star Piccolo Trumpet, serial number 39007, was manufactured in Couesnon’s Paris factory in the 1960s or 70s.
